Mike MacLellan is a lawyer for employers advising in all aspects of labour and employment law. He joined Crawford Chondon and Partners LLP in 2010, and has advised employers on a wide array of legal matters including: employee discipline and termination, human rights and accommodation, occupational health and safety (including workplace violence and harassment), collective bargaining and labour arbitrations. Mike has conducted numerous workplace investigations into complaints of: discrimination, workplace harassment, workplace sexual harassment, workplace violence, and violation of workplace policies including drug and alcohol policies. Mike has tailored his investigation approach during the COVID-19 pandemic to be able to conduct investigations remotely while maintaining the reliability and integrity of his investigations and reports. On occasion, Mike has appeared as witness in labour arbitrations to be examined with respect to his workplace investigations and reports relied upon by employers. In 2022 Mike was a course presenter in Workplace Investigation Essentials for the University of Toronto Center for Industrial Relations and Human Resources.
Mike holds an LL.B. from the University of Western Ontario (2009), and is a member of the Canadian Association of Counsel to Employers, Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, the Law Society of Ontario, and The Advocates’ Society.
