Jonathan Dye is a partner at Filion Wakely Thorup Angeletti LLP. He primarily litigates and advises clients on a range of issues such as wrongful dismissal claims, workplace human rights, employment standards, recruitment and dismissals, employment contracts and employment issues in corporate transactions.
Jonathan is rated as one of the leading lawyers in Canada for Employment Law and Workplace Human Rights by several organizations, including Best Lawyers, Lexpert and Martindale-Hubbell. He was Chair of the Labour & Employment Law Section of the Ontario Bar Association in 2008-9, is a past member of the Steering Committee for the Employment Law section of the Defense Research Institute (DRI) based in Chicago, and is a Fellow of the Centre for International Legal Studies, based in Salzburg, Austria.
An accomplished speaker, Jonathan has chaired and lectured at a variety conferences and to both business and legal audiences. He has been a guest instructor at the Schulich School of Business at York University and the School of Business Management at Ryerson University. He has spoken as an expert on workplace issues on CTV television and CBC radio, and has been repeatedly quoted in the The Globe and Mail Report on Business, The Financial Post, Canadian Business Magazine, Business Insurance and other news publications. He has also authored chapters on Employment Law for three legal texts, and written dozens of articles for legal publications and journals.
