I am absolutely passionate about HSE!

I am recognized as the only Lawyer in Canada to achieve a law degree (now called a Juris Doctor), Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation and an environmental degree (Bachelor of Science). But don’t let the “lawyer” throw you off!

Working my way up through the trenches– I know what it feels like to wear steel-toed boots in -45°C weather. I have overseen HSE operations on projects ranging from $1 Million to over $1 Billion dollars throughout Canada. It’s this experience that helped me develop a deep understanding of HSE management systems and how “people” are the key to their success.

Only after I cut my teeth in the field did I achieve my Juris Doctor and drove myself to becoming a successful HSE defence lawyer. With clients ranging from fortune 100 companies to “ma and pa” operations, these experiences refined my technical HSE knowledge to a razor sharp edge.

Being able to balance technical HSE knowledge with practical field know how, I have a unique ability to connect with my client’s work and provide tailored strategic advice.

BUT, I also love to share and learn from others. I do this through teaching, writing, volunteering and lecturing.

Recognized as a thought leader & mentor in HSE, I have worked with some of the most prestigious HSE organizations across Canada – helping to share my expertise and learning from a diverse group of individuals.
