David Law is the principal at LAWatWORK, an Ottawa-based law firm focused on advising organizations in matters of employment, workplace safety and governance.

In practice, David has appeared before boards of arbitration, multiple workplace tribunals, the Ontario Provincial and Superior Courts, the Federal Court, the Federal Court of Appeal, the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. Repeatedly recognized by “Best Lawyers in Canada” David was a partner in a large international law firm before opening LAWatWORK in 2017.

For a decade, David was a professor at the Queen’s University Faculty of Law and he is a frequent guest lecturer and public speaker. Published by the Queen’s University and University of Toronto Press, David has testified before parliamentary committees and has served in a variety of community leadership positions including with the Ottawa Food Bank, the Argyle Institute and the Ontario Human Resources Professionals Association.
