employment law, human rights and professional regulation, appearing before
the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench, Court of Appeal and several administrative
tribunals. Her clients are focused primarily in the public, education, health care
and not for profit sectors.
Ayla often represents clients before administrative tribunals. These include the
Alberta Human Rights Commission, the Alberta Labour Relations Board,
arbitration boards, the School Act Board of Reference, the Employment
Insurance Board of Referees and Umpire, Canada Labour Code adjudicators and
professional discipline tribunals. She also frequently provides training on labour
and employment, human rights and professional regulatory issues.
Ayla is a member of the Law Society of the Northwest Territories and has
appeared on human rights matters before the Northwest Territories Supreme
Court and the Northwest Territories Court of Appeal. She clerked for the
Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench and Court of Appeal before joining Field Law.
